Fries At Your Fingertips

Okay, let us get a few things out of the way before I start this post. Yes, it is late. Yes, I have paper due tomorrow. Yes, I have not started on said paper. Yes, I am hungry.

The saga continues. Today, I had another chocolate bunny (well, actually chocolate flavored but I don't want to get into what THAT means right now). I also had another box of Peeps, and a piece of dry chocolate cake.

However, what I really wanted was some french fries--crispy, golden fries. I went the the store today to make good on a promise to recreate a yummy fry recipe I got from America's Test Kitchen. However, I just did not feel up to carrying a 10 pound bag of potatoes and a gallon of peanut oil home. It's raining, y'all. Plus, I did not feel like cutting 10 pounds of potatoes either.

So, instead of coming home and getting to work on that paper, I googled french fries and vending machines. And low and behold, they EXIST! As in, I put in my money and a few moments later, a batch of hot and crispy fires are at my fingertips. 

Fahrenheit Goods

An appropriate post for an extremely cold day. It's around -10 degrees out and I literally froze while walking to class today. Unacceptable.

Roberto Bernardi

Roberto Bernardi is one of my most favorite artists. His realistic paintings of food are mind boggling. This is oil on canvas, y'all. Dylan's Candy Bar is one of his newest paintings and, like the groupie I am, am in love.

I've always wanted to go to the real life Dylan's Candy Bar in New York City--the one owned by Ralph Lauren's daughter. Any place that sells Liquid Taffy is a place I want to be. Sometimes, I am that shallow.

Valentine's Day Wish List

Happy New Year! Can you imagine my surprise this morning as I headed over to CVS to find VALENTINE'S Day Candy? Say What?

But I am not mad at them!  Besides Halloween, Valentine's Day is my most favorite holiday and I squeal like a child at the thought of all of that CANDY--especially those iconic NECCO conversation hearts. However, this year, in addition to the traditional conversational hearts, I'd LOVE the following:

CARAMELS: Like these from Have It Confections. Oh Boy!

Marshmallows: These Neapolitan puffs of heaven from Fusion Sweets are screaming to be mine. Besides the wonderful color combination, I'm really curious about the taste!

And finally...

Lollipops: These champagne and cherry flavored lollipops from Mihow look simply divine. What a wonderful flavor combination and beautiful execution.

Not Your Average Lemonade Stand

My ritual on Fridays after work is to head straight to BINA alimentari for their delicious french macaroons. However, I do want to try these yummy Fall French Macaroons from  Lemonade Stand. Flavors: Caramel Apple with cinnamon, Maple with maple and Pumpkin Spice.

I'll put the finishing touches on them this weekend (hopefully) and will have them available for sale by the end of next week! I'll also be selling pre-printed sets with a stand as well.
